Graveyard Ghost

In Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, Muley Graves, a man from McAlester has had his property repossessed by the bank. As a result, Muley is faced with two options: go with his family to California in an attempt to start a new life, or stay in his state, which has become desolute due to over-farming. When Muley decides to stay, his family leaves without him. Muley roams the city day after day, attempting to continue living. One day he meets with his nephew, Tom Joad, and shares his food with Tom. Tom offers to take Muley with him and his family to California; Muley declines again saying, "It's too late for me now. This might be a dead country, but this here's my country. I can't leave it."

The Return

Hello Bloggers out there. After many years time, I have somehow ended up using my blog again (which I had hoped I wouldn't). Of course, one has to make sacrifices to get good grades in high school. -_-
